Day 1:
Arrival in Ashgabat-Darwaza

Arrive in Ashgabat early in the morning and transfer to hotel for some rest.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on an introductory city tour of Ashgabat, visiting Independence Park and its monuments, the Neutrality Arch, the Monument of the Constitution, Alem Ferris Wheel, and the Olympic Complex. The tour continues with stops at the Russian Bazaar and the Lenin and Pushkin Monuments.

In the afternoon, set out for Darvaza, the famous burning gas crater. Along the way, visit two other craters—one filled with mud and the other with water—both formed through the same natural process as Darvaza.

Day 2:
Darwaza-Ashgabat

After breakfast, drive back to Ashgabat. In the afternoon, continue the city tour, which includes visits to the Turkmenbashi Mosque-Mausoleum, Nissa Fortress (UNESCO), Magtymguly Monument, Earthquake Memorial, and the Wedding Palace viewpoint.

Day 3:
Ashgabat-Mary

In the morning, drive towards Mary. After reaching Mary, take a leisurely break before embarking on an afternoon excursion to the ancient site of Merv, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich history and archaeological significance. During the visit, explore the ancient ruins and learn about the civilizations that once thrived in the area. Afterward, return to Mary and enjoy a visit to the local bazaar, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and explore traditional goods. Overnight in Mary

Day 4:

Mary -Farap border-Bukhara

In the mornnigt, drive to the Farap border post. You will cross the border around 2:00 PM, where you'll meet your driver on the Uzbek side and continue your journey to Bukhara. The evening will be free for you to relax and explore Bukhara at your own pace.

Day 5:

Bukhara - Samarkand

After breakfast, embark on a half-day tour of Bukhara, starting with the Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble, dating back to the 14th-17th centuries. Visit the Kosh-Madrassah Ensemble, which includes Madari-Abdullakhan and Abdullakhan Madrassahs, and explore the unique Chor-Minor with its four minarets. In the afternoon, transfer to Samarkand.

Day 6:
Samarkand

Start our Samarkand city tour. Visit the Mausoleum of Guri Emir, Tamerlane's Tomb, followed by a visit to the vibrant East Siab Bazaar. Explore the iconic Registan Square, home to the Ulugbek Madrassah, Shir-Dor Madrassah, and Tillya-Kori Madrassah. Continue to the grand Bibi Khanum Mosque, and then visit the architectural complex of Shakh-i-Zinda, which dates back to the 11th-15th centuries.

Day 7:

Samarkand - Tashkent

Visit the Hudzhum Carpet Factory to see the creation of handmade silk carpets. Then, head to the Ulugbek Observatory and explore the excavations and museum of the ancient city of Afrosiab. Continue with a visit to the Mausoleum of Saint Daniel. Next, visit a workshop where handmade silk paper is produced.

In the afternoon, transfer to Samarkand Railway Station for your train ride to Tashkent.

Day 8:
Tashkent

Enjoy a city tour of the old part of Tashkent. Visit the Khazrati Imam Complex, which includes the Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, the Barak-Khan Madrasah, and the Muyi-Mubarak Mosque, home to the famous Koran of Khalif Osman and the gold hair of Prophet Muhammad. Explore the Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, Independence Square, and see the statue of Amir Temur. Visit the Alisher Navoi Theatre Square and take a ride on the Tashkent Metro, one of the most beautiful in the world.

Day 9:
Departure

After a leisurely morning, bid farewell to Crazy Puffin fam and transfer to Tashkent Airport for your departure flight to home.

Is it safe to travel to Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan?

Yes it is safe to travel to Turkmenistan, you will be with our group the whole time where we have experienced local crew that takes care of us and guides us around both countries

How does the booking process work?

Your spot will be secured as soon as we receive your deposit payment. This deposit is refundable up to 7 days after your booking.

How do I get visa?

For Turkmenistan, we will arrange a Letter Of Invitation for you and with that letter you can get Visa on arrival at Ashgabat airport.

For Uzbekistan, most countries allow visa-free entry for Uzbekistan. However, if you need a visa, like U.S. passport holders, we will provide the necessary documents for your eVisa application.

What is the minimum/maximum number of participants on this trip?

We do have a guarantee of departure for this trip. 
And we take a maximum of 12 people + crew for each tour.

What flights I need to take?

We will fly to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. All travelers must reach Ashgabat from either Istanbul or Dubai. Our "Pack Your Bag" document, which includes detailed flight booking instructions, will be sent to you after you confirm your booking.

Do I need to bring cash?

Yes, bring USD, there will be no ATMs available so bring enough cash for the trip. Our crew can assist you to exchange it into the local currency.

Can I travel there as a female?

Yes, you will have no problem traveling to Turkmenistan as a female, and though the country's Islamic roots are several centuries old, Turkmen women never were and are not required to wear a face covering.

Can I come as a solo traveler

That’s absolutely not a problem! You will be paired with another like-minded solo traveler and share the room with him/her. Or you can get a single supplement for an additional fee. With single supplement you will get your own hotel room.
